Cherished uncle of Michael Norton and his wife Kim, Kathleen Bill and her husband Dave, and Judith Irene England and her husband Ryan.
Adored great-uncle of Timmy and Ben Norton, Nora, Adeline and Remington Bill.
Visiting hours at the Rogers & Hutchins Funeral Home, 292 Massachusetts Avenue, in Arlington on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 4 to 7 pm.
A funeral service will be held at St. Catherine’s Church, 179 Summer Street, in Somerville on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 10:00 am.
Arthur was an avid chess player who competed in many tournaments over the years. He received his black belt in Uechi Ryu martial arts, and had a passion for music, food and the arts. He was a member of the Handel and Hayden Society in Boston and could be found walking and enjoying nature.
His great joy was the time he spent with his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, playing poker, going to the Museum of Fine Arts or just out for an ice cream. He truly enjoyed trying to show them the finer things in life.
