Frances Mary (Curtis) Ryan, age 83 of Sagamore Beach and formerly of Arlington passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Bright View Assisted Living in Billerica. She was the beloved wife of Frances L. Ryan.
Born in Somerville on March 29, 1928 she was the daughter of the late William J. and Josephine (Greene) Curtis. She was raised and educated in Somerville, MA.
Mrs. Ryan married and soon settled in Arlington where together they raised their 4 loving children.
Frances was a long time communicant of St. Agnes Church as well as St. Bonaventure's in Manomet.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister whose family was the center of her life.
Family members include her children William F. Ryan and his wife Kathy of Hudson, NH, Barbara A. Flaherty and husband Chuck of Billerica, Carol J. Bartalussi, and her husband Bob of Westford and Daniel J. Ryan and his wife Tricia of Norton; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a sister Theresa M. Taylor of Woburn and a brother William J. Curtis Jr. and his wife Elaine of Lexington.
Funeral Friday at 9:00 am from The Rogers & Hutchins Funeral Home, 292 Massachusetts Ave, Arlington followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 am in St. Agnes Church, 51 Medford St., Arlington. Visiting hours Thursday, 3-7 pm. Interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
